Have you ever wondered, “Is there an Audi car dealership near me where I can learn about the significance of the IIHS’s safety ratings?” If you live or work near our Los Angeles, CA Audi dealership, the answer is yes!
Every year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety rates vehicles based on their performance in five crashworthiness tests. The institute also evaluates automobiles based their front crash prevention systems and headlights.
The best ratings cars can get are the Top Safety Pick+ followed by the Top Safety Pick ratings. To earn the top award, TSP+, a vehicle must earn the score of “good” in five crash tests, get a rating of “advanced” or “superior” for its front crash prevention system, and earn a score of “acceptable” or “good” for its headlights. To earn the second highest safety rating, TSP, an automobile must achieve the same ratings in the crash tests and the front crash prevention system test.
Earning these awards is a big deal because they’re only given to vehicles that are considered among the safest in their respective automotive classes. Being Audi dealers, we’re thrilled that some of the vehicles in our inventory earned one of the IIHS’s top scores.
Here are the 2017 and 2018 Audi vehicles that have been tested to-date which have earned one of the top scores from the IIHS and the rating they received:
We’re proud that so many of the automobiles we sell and lease earned such great safety ratings from the IIHS and we can’t wait to see what safety ratings the 2017 and 2018 Audi vehicles that haven’t been tested yet earn in the future.
