2018 Audi RS3 Debuts at the New York International Auto Show

Do you like the 2017 Audi A3? If so, can you even dream of an Audi vehicle that takes some of the design elements you can find on the Audi A3, makes them more bold and aggressive, and accelerates from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds? If you can, you’ve envisioned the 2018 Audi RS 3.

To be available for the first time in the United States, the 2018 Audi RS 3 made its debut earlier this month at the New York International Auto Show. The recently unveiled Audi RS 3 is the only compact sedan produced by the Audi brand to bear the Audi RS nameplate. The 2018 Audi RS 3 isn’t just a performance car. It’s also a vehicle that’s practical for everyday use.

The Audi brand designed the 2018 Audi RS 3 for the US market. The vehicle is equipped with the carmaker’s all-new 2.5-liter, five-cylinder TFSI engine, which is paired with a seven-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission. The car’s engine produces 354 lb-ft of torque at speeds as low as 1,700 rpm. The engine’s output remains the same at speeds up to 5,850 rpm. Given this output, the 2018 Audi RS 3 can accelerate from a dead stop up to 60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds. The car can reach a top speed of 155 miles per hour on the track. The vehicle’s top speed can increase up to 174 miles per hour if you add the Dynamic Plus options package to your automobile.
