Audi Announces Pricing for All-New 2015 S3 & A3 Models

Audi continues to expand its A3 series of vehicles and will soon be introducing the latest versions to United States consumers. The recent success of the revamped Audi A3 is now followed by several newcomers, namely the Audi A3 Cabriolet, A3 TDI Clean Diesel, and S3 Sedan. The automaker has already released a somewhat comprehensive list of standard and optional features for these three models as well as a suggested retail price tag.

According to Audi spokespeople, expanding the economically-priced lower-end vehicle lineup is due to the increased interest in the automaker by consumers who consider the purchase of a semi-luxurious passenger vehicle. The redesigned A3 models currently on sale in the U.S. and Europe have met with overwhelming customer approval, and the bold move to expand the A3 lineup as well as introduce a new S3 sedan is proof that Audi is indeed targeting potential buyers who are looking for a well-fitted and feature-loaded car at an affordable $30-40K price.

Introducing The Audi S3 Sedan
When one thinks of the Audi A series when the conversation turns to sedans. However, the S3 is about to make its United States debut, and potential buyers will want to take notice of the refinements. Although rather similar in shape, size, and style to the already popular A3 sedan, the S3 has been given a few tweaks that truly make it stand apart. The exterior is sharp-appearing and includes a Singleframe® grille, a shiny chrome outline, and honeycomb-style inserts in the bumper air inlets.

The vehicles is powered by a 2.0L TFSI® engine with the Quattro all-wheel drive. This high-performing engine delivers a total of 292 horsepower, so drivers need not worry about the car’s ability to accelerate quickly.

Inside the cabin, such niceties as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multifunction controls, shift paddles, and luxurious upholstery await the driver and passengers. The entire look and feel is unmistakably Audi. The 2015 Audi S3 pricing starts at $41,100.

The New Audi A3 Cabriolet
This particular model has been on sale in Europe but will be making its United States auto showroom debut in late summer. What sets this version apart from the base model A3 is the beautifully designed soft cloth top that is stretched over the mechanized steel-magnesium frame. Buyers have the choice of the economical 1.8T front-wheel drive trim or the slightly more powerful 2.0T Quattro-drive model.

One of the more sporty vehicles in the Audi lineup, the A3 Cabriolet nevertheless retains the interior accouterments and convenience features of the more conservative A3 versions. Suggested starting price for this exciting, sporty convertible is $35,600 for the front-wheel drive trim.

The Audi A3 TDI Clean Diesel Sedan
Audi introduced its TDI engine series in the United States in 2009, and sales of vehicles with this type of diesel engine have increased steadily since then. The all-new A3 TDI sedan boasts a 2.0 TDI engine that produces a total of 150 horsepower. Fuel consumption is remarkably low, with most tests confirming the boasted 30 percent less fuel usage than a comparably designed gasoline engine.

This newest model is similar in appearance to the already popular A3 sedan series but should attract attention from the younger buying population seeking a good combination of luxury and fuel efficiency. The actual sticker cost will be only slightly higher than the 2014 Audi A3 pricing, with base trim models starting at about $32,600.

Standard Features on All New Models
These three additions to the Audi sedan fleet will feature the same standard convenience amenities as those found on the current model A3 vehicles. These include leather seating surfaces, split-folding rear seatbacks, streaming Bluetooth® audio streaming, bi-xenon headlights and LED taillights. Audi Connect® is also included on all trims of the new models. This exciting technology feature allows for read-aloud news headlines, picture navigation, and social media message alerts.

All three of these new versions will be arriving in Audi showrooms across the United States this fall.
